Useful Structure

1。に基づいて (にもとずいて)
Meaning: based (up)on
Example:
事実に基づいてお話します
I will speak to you on the basis of facts
ひらがな、かたかなの形は漢字に基づいている
hiragana and katakana shapes are based on kanji.
2。ようにする
Meaning: V, try to
Structure: V-dict+ようにする
Example:
間に合うようにします
I try to make it on time

ではある/では あります が

Meanning: But, Although.
Notes: ではある written、ではありますが speech
Examples:
二月ではあるが、今日は暖かい。
It's February, but today is very warm.
二月ではありますが、今日は暖かい。
It's February, but today is very warm.

でしかない

Meanning: Nothing but.
Notes:
Examples:
これは普通の切手でしかない。
This is only a normal stamp

であれ

Meanning: It doesn't matter which, It doesn't matter whether.
Case: Both positive and negative.
Notes:
Example:
週末であれ、平日であれ、この店 いつも 込んでいる
It doesn't matter whether it's weekend or a weekday, this shop is always crowded.

だらけ

Meanning: covered in, full of.
Case: always have a negative nuance.
Notes:
Examples:
だらけ
Covered in mud (bu`n)
間違えだらけ
Full of mistakes.
この公園は犬だらけだ。
There are dogs all over this park.

だけあって

Meanning: As might be expected.
Case:
Notes:
Examples:
彼ははずって運動指定ないだけあってやっぱり太った。
Do khong van dong theo chi dinh, ket qua la anh ta tro len beo phi.

だけ、だけの

Meanning: As much as, as fast as, to the extent of
Case:
Notes: Have no negative form, Dake no is always used before a noun.
Examples:
お好きなだけどうぞ。
Have as much as you want.
できるだけのことはした。
I did as much as I can.

ばかりに

Meanning: Because
Case: Always indicates a negative outcome
Notes: Comes between two nouns.
Example:
新車を買ったばかりにお金がありません。
I don't have any money because I bought a new car.
勉強しなかったばかりに試験に失敗した。
I failed the test because I didn't study.

あげく、あげくの

Mean: after much__ing
Situation: Used only for negative results
あげくand あげくの are the same meanning, but differ grammatically.
あげくis a conjunction, used to join two clause, whereas あげくのalways comes before a noun.
Example:
両親と話し合ったあげく、学校を辞めることにした。
After consulting with my parents, I quit school. 
両親と話し合ったあげくの決定です。
This decision that I reached after talking with my parents.
